Joan is a square book containing 56 pages of blank 160gsm cartridge paper.

The covers have been screen-printed by hand before being bound to the signatures with cotton thread coated with organic beeswax.

Coptic bookbinding is an ancient method of stitching together signatures of paper resulting in a decorative open spine. This spine means the book lies completely flat - perfect for writing, drawing or displaying photos.

The cartridge paper is suitable for pencil, pen watercolours and other wet media.
